You can also find shops that cater for your special need like kosher food or Halal meat.
Drugstores sell all kind of toiletries. Kruidvat and Etos are both inexpensive chemist store chains offering lots of low priced atricles besides their regular assortiment of toiletries. Medications can be obtained only on doctor prescription at the pharmacy.
In the city centres of Arnhem and Nijmegen you will find many stores ranging from the cheaper discount shops to more sophisticated boutigques. Shops are usually open from 9.00 until approximately 18.00. However, opening hours can vary from place to place. Arnhem en Nijmegen also have Koopzondagen (Sunday Shopping). This means shops are open on specific Sundays.
